A few years later, overcoming adversity, Anthony went on to play baseball at Division III Farmingdale State College where he was a 4-year starter/captain. What Inspired you to start This 4 Youth Foundation?

"Having to go through some trials and tribulations in my life has helped me grow into the man I am today. God has been with me every step of the way and my faith in Him has allowed me to become aware of what I am supposed to do in my life. My parents have given me the most amazing support someone could ever ask for. I want to do the same thing they did and am passionate encouraging kids and being that support they might need. Wanting something so badly and then not being able to go after it is the reason I want to help today's youth. I want them to understand that if they are faced with obstacles in their lives, they can still do anything they set their mind to. That little kid that that had so much desire professional baseball player still lives within me. That is the reason I can relate when seeing a kid with so much passion in something. That is what inspires me! Many professional athletes give back. I may not have become a professional athlete but I am still capable to inspire kids in our community."

Occupation: Owner of W. Stack Auctions, Inc. and Til The End Clothing

Education: Graduated High School in 2007

Fresh out of High School, Wally started working with his father. This is where he learned how important it was to have a strong work ethic. Soon after, Wally started working at 1-800-GOT-JUNK, which is where he developed the love for antiques and collectibles. in 2011, he opened up his 1st business in honor of his Father and one of this good friends passing away. He called in This 4 You letting them know that he is in this for them. Wally also did a lot of volunteer work at the Lindenhurst Youth Center after Super Storm Sandy devastated his hometown. Experiencing this difficult time that the storm brought to some of these kids, it opened up Wally's eyes to what his purpose is. Being someone that kids can look up to and be able to talk when going through adversity in their lives.

What inspired you to start This 4 Youth Foundation?

"Losing people I love most out of nowhere is something that inspires me. I live every moment of my life for my Father and everyone else I've lost. I believe that my purpose is to honor them by paying it forward. One of the biggest things that inspired me was losing many close friends to drugs. I want to be the push that the youth of our generation needs to follow their dreams and not become just another statistic.

Katherine Alvino

Position: Secretary & Treasurer.

Hometown: Levittown, NY

Education: Graduated from Division Avenue High School and went on to study Physical Education at SUNY Cortland. After completing her Bachelor's degree there, she attended Adelphi University where she received her Master's degree.

Katie grew up in Levittown and was always very active. She enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball and softball, and she attended dance classes for fifteen years. Volleyball is what she enjoyed the most and continues to play today. In addition to all the physical activities she participated in, she also was constantly babysitting. She didn't realize it right away, but by her Senior year of high school, she was guided by her mom to become a Physical Education teacher because of her love of sports and kids.

Katie is currently an elementary Physical Education teacher. Her passion became her profession and is the first to admit she has the best job in the world. Since graduating from Cortland, she has dedicated many hours to coaching as well. She believes coaching is an extension of teaching, which is why she loves it so much. Katie believes as a teacher and coach, you have this wonderful responsibility to educate kids not only physically, but mentally, socially and emotionally as well. There's nothing more rewarding than engaging kids, developing their skills and confidence, and teaching them how to be empathetic and responsible individuals.

Jerry Webb

Position: 1st Vice President

Hometown: Lindenhurst, NY

Occupation: Union Carpenter

“My passion for sports began in my early childhood. I was fortunate enough to have the support of family to help cultivate this love for athletics. Although basketball was my all time favorite, I played everything from ice hockey, football, baseball, golf, to competitive table tennis. I am very aware that not every child is as fortunate as I was to have the support and means in order to pursue their passions. This is why This 4 Youth’s mission resonates with me. I have had first-hand experience with adversity and overcoming obstacles. It is not something that is easily done alone, and sometimes you need a helping hand to get you through. Helping others is something I have always done, and it is always a rewarding experience. Helping children, especially, is very important to me. Growing up, my mother owned a daycare, and I was always around to assist her. Currently, I coach youth basketball and flag football. It inspires me to help children attain their goals, even if it is just a first lay up or an assist. My son, Jerry Jr., is currently developing a love for sports as deep as mine. He is one of the fortunate children who have the means and support to follow his dreams, which is something I want for all children. This 4 Youth seems to be the way to reach the most children, and have the greatest impact that I can make.”

Growing up Sean has been nothing but a motivated, selfless, and caring individual. Graduating from Lindenhurst High school and receiving an Associates in Business from Suffolk Community College he was ready to start his life. Owning his own company for the past 3 years has allowed Sean to grow a strong network of individuals. Sean spent 10 years of working at the Lindenhurst Youth Center where he became the Director. Learning from the children at the Youth Center and being able to understand the needs of some children is a gift. It was the most rewarding job someone could have. After leaving the Youth Center he knew that he wasn’t totally done with helping our youth! Joining This 4 Youth Foundation, Inc. with some of his closest friends was exactly what he needed. His goal is to be able to help the young men and women that are talented and motivated but don’t necessarily have the right resources or opportunity’s that others may have. He is very passionate about making an impact.
